Case Study: Malaysia's Glass Bottle Filling Line
| Project Background & Client Challenges
A Malaysian client, aiming to expand production capacity following a factory relocation, required a comprehensive and space-efficient paste filling line. The key challenge was to design a single, integrated line capable of handling three distinct glass bottle types provided as samples. The line needed to include bottle feeding, washing, filling, capping (for two cap types), labeling, cap sleeving, bottle collection table and shrink-wrapping machines.
| Sample Submission & Analysis
After analyzing the provided bottle samples, the specifications were as follows:
Bottle 1: Height 21cm, Diameter 5.9cm, Bottle Mouth Inner Diameter 2.1cm, Label Size 9(H)*17.5(L) cm.
Bottle 2: Height 23cm, Diameter 6cm, Bottle Mouth Inner Diameter 1.7cm, Label Size 9(H)*15(L) cm.
Bottle 3: Height 28cm, Diameter 7.5cm, Bottle Mouth Inner Diameter 1.7cm, Label Size 9(H)*15(L) cm. (Note: the bottle features a hexagonal, curved body, not round.)

| Solution & Equipment Recommendation
Based on the analysis, the following equipment configuration was proposed to ensure flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness:
1. Bottle Feeding & Unscrambling: ZXJ-1000 bottle unscrambler.
2. Bottle Washing: ZCP-12 rotary bottle washing machine.
3. Paste Filling: ZT4T-4G rotor pump filler (4-head), capable of universal adjustment for the different bottle capacities and mouth sizes.
4. Capping: Two separate capping machines were required for the two distinct cap types (plastic press-on caps and metal screw caps).
QDX-series capping machines were recommended for their reliability and ease of changeover.
5. Labeling: MT-200B automatic labeling machine. Customized labeling rollers were designed to accommodate all bottle shapes, including the unique hexagonal, curved bottle.
6. Cap Sleeving (Collar Applicator): BSS-1538B semi-automatic sleeve applicator was selected to align with the client's budget considerations.
7. Multi-Pack Shrink-Wrapping: BZJ5038 & BSE5040A semi-automatic bundling and shrink-wrapping system for wrapping one dozen bottles into a pack.

Place Order & Production Execution
1. Confirmation & Design: Upon finalizing the machine selection, detailed layout drawings were created based on the client's factory floor plan for approval.
2. Order & Manufacturing: After the client confirmed the drawings and paid the deposit, production of the complete line commenced.

| Installation & Commissioning
As per the client's request for overseas installation, our engineers were dispatched to the client's site in Malaysia. The entire line was successfully installed and commissioned within just two days.
The client expressed high satisfaction with the line's performance and the efficient installation. A commemorative group photo was taken at the site to mark the successful project completion.
